Our Mission provides the focus for everything we do at St. Mary’s School: “Out of love for Jesus Christ and as his disciples, the mission of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel School Community is to guide students in developing their intellectual, spiritual, physical and social gifts to their highest potential in order to become contributing members of society and active members of the Body of Christ."
The education we provide is rooted in Christ and begins with a profound respect for each child who is made in the image and likeness of God. This foundation led us to develop Montessori-inspired programs for our youngest students, and explore project-based learning for our older students so each child can grow and learn, develop a life of virtue and knowledge of God, and establish within themselves a life-long love of learning.
Family is the most important social setting in a child’s life. We are proud and privileged to be welcomed into your family as educators and guides for your children, and we want to work closely with you in this beautiful relationship centered on your child’s well-being and education.
“While we hope our website is effective in answering most of your questions, it can’t easily convey the heart and soul of the people who work here. Educating children is far more than a job for us. It is our vocation—our calling from God to engage in the education and spiritual formation of His children. Every teacher, guide, aide, staff person and volunteer sees their work at St. Mary’s as a fulfillment of this call.
Our mission goes far beyond academics. We are working on our journey to Heaven while helping students navigate their own. We are serving the child while helping them learn to serve and care for others. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of each other and the world.”
